Susumu Japanese Steakhouse in Roseville

Worst restaurant experience in decades. Sat there for two hours and got no food. The useless manager did nothing for us, just said it's a busy night. We made it clear that he was losing our business permanently (and we were going to come back with the whole family) but he didn't care. Another couple at our table had to leave hungry or they would miss their movie. We were offended by the manager's poor attitude and there was no hope for any food any time in the near future. The chef had finally come over, but said no one had turned on the grill, and it would take a long time to heat up. We left, went around the corner to Bobo (Vietnamese restaurant), and got great food in ten minutes.

Was here one time before and it was ok but this time, wasn't so great. Food was ok, chef was good but the service is so so. When it came to pay, they ran the card 3 times and declined however charges ended up on the account. The restaurant's response, "Sorry this happens all the time". No groupon so it is definitely not an issue with that. Not sure what happened but that $70 meals wasn't worth it or the $230 they tried to charge to the card. Now, as I sit on the toilet, I regret the entire visit. Go somewhere else! EDIT: Girlfriend and her niece's stomach is all jacked up from there. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE.

Went Tuesday night at 7pm, waited over an hour and a half between getting seated and getting our food. Food was good as always though.

Wasn't great, wasn't terrible. Food was fairly low quality. I've never seen ribeye cut 1/4" thick before... People were friendly but minimally attentive. I had to find someone to fill my water glass. I would not drive out of my way to eat here.

Lost our reservation. Food is below average and service is lousy. Management is very unprofessional. Go to Benihana's!

I've been to Benihana several times and this restaurant had better ambiance, and FAR better food! I'll be going there a lot!

Kind of disappointed on my second visit here. Gave me tuna sushi when I asked for yellowtail. They said it was red because it was "natural." Why lie to me? Just tell me if you don't have it. Such a shame.

Excellent food and probably the most outstanding customer service I have ever experienced in a restaurant! Our waiter "London" went above and beyond, even our little guys left happy! For those who still appreciate good old fashioned hospitality and great service I highly recommend checking this place out!!

Regret coming here. Sushi was horrible. Price too high. Dislike my meat and veggies. All though fried rice was okay. Not worth the money i spent.

Not a very good experience.The prices do not match between website and menu.We went there at 8PM, and the workers were sweeping all the dining room, lifting (of course) all the dust that was on the floor (not good). Then, as soon as the cook was done cooking, they started mopping the floor, using some sort of REALLY STRONG detergent, that ruined largely the flavor of the food.Cleaning should be done ONLY after the LAST patron left the premises, NEVER with people dining!!!
